    State-run oil marketing companies yet again revised diesel price in major cities across the country. Though there was no change in petrol prices, but diesel prices were raised by 15 paise on Saturday. Notably, this is the 9th jump in diesel prices in this month as OMCs hiking diesel rates across the metros. In Delhi, diesel now retails at Rs. 81.79 per litre witnessing a historic high. Earlier, the oil companies increased the diesel prices by 12 paise in Delhi on Monday.

    Toyota India on Wednesday officially confirmed the emergence of five new cases of COVID-19, amongst its employees. Previously, the company had reported eleven and fifteen new cases of COVID-19 respectively. The concerned Covid-19 positive employees had last attended work on 3rd, 10th, 13th, 14th & 20th July. These new cases were reported after the company resumed production at its Bidadi plant in Karnataka. The carmaker hasnt specified the total number of the active cases. Last week, the company temporarily halted production at its plant in Bidadi as per the directives issued by the Government of Karnataka.

The company had earlier reported 14 Covid-19 positive cases of its employees. The total number of the cases at the facility has increased to 18. Last month, the company suspended operation at the Bidadi manufacturing plant after two employees were infected by the deadly virus. However, the production at the facility resumed next week after ensuring proper sanitisation of all facilities in the plant.
