The i4 is the BMW's second EV for India in the last 6 months and like its siblings is available in a single variant.

The new BMW i4 is offered in one variant - i4 eDrive40, and the electric sedan is India's longest-range electric vehicle with a claimed driving range of up to 590 km on a single charge.

The BMW i4 is the second BMW branded electric vehicle for India after the iX and will go on sale on May 26, 2022.

BMW is also laying down a marker for sustainability - it has announced a reverse osmosis system to cut down its water consumption by 6 million liters.

BMW has teased the production version of the iX3 which is all set to be launched in global markets by the end of this year. Production of the brand's first pure electric SUV model will get underway at the BMW Brilliance Automotive joint venture (BBA) in China. The BBA Plant Dadong will produce the first Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) with a pure electric drive train for the global market. The first of these electric vehicles will be delivered to customers by the end of the year.
