The X4 was conceived as a baby X6, and more like an afterthought when it first came in 2014 - almost as a variant to the then 2nd generation X3 - a car that was already at its midlife point then. And it sold over 200,000 units worldwide.
BMW has officially unveiled their new X4 crossover at the Geneva Motorshow. The Bavarian car manufacturer had previewed the X4 concept at the Shanghai Motorshow, probably a year ago and now here is the final production version.

BMW X4 is for those who love driving and styling. Getting both in a SUV is very rare and this is the car where BMW has done a phenomenal job. M sports features are unique in this category. Driving in Sports mode on expressway is a real fun. I have not see such good stability in other SUVs. Acceleration from 0 to 100 in 6 seconds with a good stability is unmatchable.
If you are looking for SUV and ready to pay some premium, BMW X4 is for you!
The 2022 BMW X4 facelift is offered in two trims - a petrol-powered X4 xDrive30i, and a diesel-powered X4 xDrive30d. The X4 will also be available in an exclusive 'Black Shadow' edition, which will be sold in limited numbers.
The all-new 2018 BMW X4 comes with a very distinctive coupe-like roofline and borrows cues from the new generation X3, the model on which it is based on.The X4 won't have a direct rival in the Indian market but it's likely to compete against the Range Rover Evoque, Audi Q5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC in the segment.
BMW India was supposed to launch the new X4 SUV on 7 February, 2019 but now the launch date has been deferred. There are no details on the new launch date as of now.
