Lexus LS 500h has been launched in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 1.77 Crore. The full-size luxury sedan is Lexus' fourth hybrid car in India and the company says there are more to come in 2018. Lexus has proved to be different from the rest of the luxury car makers by multiplying its hybrid-electric product line-up instead of just launching conventional petrol and diesel engines on its cars. 

Lexus LS 500h Variants & Prices

Lexus has launched its flagship product the LS 500h in three variants - the base or the Luxury variant has been priced at Rs 1.77 crore, while the Ultra Luxury or the mid variant costs Rs 1.82 crore and the range-topping 'Distinct' variant comes with a price tag of Rs 1.93 crore (Prices are Ex-showroom, Delhi).

 

Lexus LS 500h Design and Styling

Longer and lower than the model it replaces, the all-new LS 500h has been built on the company's all-new global architecture for luxury four-wheelers. A common thread through all LS models remains Omotenashi, the concept of Japanese hospitality. Applied to a luxury automobile, it means adopting a human-focused approach to the vehicle: taking care of the driver and passengers, anticipating their needs, attending to their comfort and helping to protect them from hazards.

 

Lexus LS 500h Engine and Transmission

The LS 500h is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine which works together with two electric motors to provide a combined output of 354 bhp. It gets a Multi-Stage Hybrid eCVT transmission which feeds the power either to a rear-wheel drive system or Lexus' new-age E Four electric AWD system.
