Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has started deliveries of the all-new Honda CB200X crossover motorcycle in India. The new Honda CB200X is based on the 184 cc Honda Hornet 2.0 platform, and is built for the everyday commute, as well as for exploring roads less travelled. Deliveries of the new Honda CB200X have commenced from Honda's Red Wing dealerships. The CB200X is primarily a commuter motorcycle, but gets a tall stance, upright riding position, and a design which is inspired by Honda's bigger adventure touring models, like the Honda CB500X. The Honda CB200X is priced at Rs. 1,44,500 (Ex-showroom).

Speaking on the occasion of the first delivery of the Honda CB200X, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, "From the day it was launched, our dealer network has been receiving inquiries especially from new-age customers. As the situation is getting normal and people are moving out for work and leisure trips, they are looking for a machine which meets all their expectations. According to Honda, the Honda CB200X has been designed for the everyday commute as well as weekend explorations.
The Honda CB200X is powered by the same 184 cc, single-cylinder engine, which puts out 17 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 16.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine gets Honda's programmed fuel injection with 8 on-board sensors which constantly inject optimum fuel and air mixture for better efficiency and performance. Features include a single-channel ABS, a negative LCD instrument console along with a start-stop switch, hazard lamps, full LED lighting and petal disc brakes up front and at the rear.

The chassis, suspension and cycle parts are also shared with the Honda Hornet 2.0. The motorcycle gets USD fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. Considering the CB200X gets 167 mm ground clearance, it should be enough for minor 'soft-roading' duties that the new bike has been designed to take on, together with the block pattern tyres. We will be riding the new Honda CB200X soon, and will bring our first impressions of this new-age crossover commuter motorcycles.
