Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced that its bestselling 125 cc motorcycle, the Honda Shine has achieved the milestone of 1 crore customers in India. The Honda Shine is the highest-selling Honda motorcycle across the world, and also holds the top position in the 125 cc motorcycle segment in India, with more than 50 per cent market share. The Honda Shine also has string 29 per cent year-on-year growth as per data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), and is now the first 125 cc motorcycle to reach the 1 crore customer milestone.
The 125 cc Honda Shine has achieved the cumulative sales milestone of 1 crore customers in India.

The Honda Shine is India's highest-selling 125 cc motorcycle, and also the world's highest-selling Honda motorcycle.

The Honda Shine was first launched in 2006, and became the highest-selling 125 cc motorcycle in India just two years after its launch in 2008. In 2017, the Honda Shine became the first 125 cc motorcycle to reach 50 lakh unit sales milestone, and by 2018, it accomplished sales of 70 lakh units. In 2019, the Honda SP 125 was launched, as a replacement for the Honda CB Shine SP, with a 5-speed gearbox. By 2020, the Honda Shine family achieved more than 90 lakh customers, and now, in 2022, it has achieved more than 1 crore customers. The motorcycle gets a 125 cc engine that makes 10.72 bhp of power coming in at 7,500 rpm, and 10.9 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.
