The coupe and cabriolet versions of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class have finally made their global debut at the ongoing New York International Auto Show 2018. The cars were revealed alongside the performance variants of the C-Class from Mercedes-AMG, like the 2019 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe and Cabriolet, among others. Like their sedan version, the facelifted coupe and cabriolet comes with sharper design and styling with reworked front and rear sections, enhanced interior with a digital cockpit, and new, more powerful engine options.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet
Under the hood, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet and Coupe come in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol models - C 200 and C 200 4Matic, are powered by a 1.5-litre engine, equipped with an additional 48-volt on-board network with a belt-driven starter/alternator (EQ Boost), offering a combined output over 194 bhp. Mercedes will also introduce a more powerful 2.0-litre engine later. The diesel model, on the other hand, C 250 d, an update over the previous version, which now makes about 192 bhp. There's also the C43 AMG which gets a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V-6 engine which now produces 385 bhp and 520 Nm of peak torque. Mercedes-Benz offers the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system as optional in the C 300, but it remains standard on the AMG C 43 models.

Visually, both the coupe and the cabriolet models get similar design and styling. Up front, the cars get the diamond radiator grille as standard along with restyled LED High-Performance headlamps with a new design or optional Multibeam LED headlamps with Ultra Range Highbeam. The cars get new alloy option as well, and while the coupe model comes with a nice sloping roofline, cabriolet gets a retractable soft top roof which can be operated from the outside with the vehicle key and the "Open/Close" buttons. The rear gets a nice sculpted boot lid along with a pair of stylish LED taillamps and a smooth rear bumper with dual exhaust ports. The cars also get new colour options - Mojave silver metallic and all-new graphite grey made exclusively for the coupé and cabriolet.

The cars also get updated cabin with premium quality interior and a digital cockpit, highlighted by the large infotainment system at the centre and a full-digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system gets the latest-generation COMAND Online available as optional equipment and offers fast 3D hard-disc navigation with topographical map display, photo-realistic 3D buildings and 3D map rotations. The piano black centre console features buttons for in-car controls and the main control panel placed just in front of the centre armrest/glovebox. The car gets retro-looking silver accented round air-con vents, a multi-functional steering wheel and sound system with nine loudspeakers and an output of 225 Watt as a new optional extra between the standard sound system and the Burmester surround sound system.
Other features offered with the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet and Coupe include - configurable Dynamic Body Control suspension with damping characteristics adjustable in three stages and Sports Direct-Steer system or Air Body Control suspension. The stepless system controls the damping characteristics individually for each wheel as it interacts with the engine, transmission and steering properties - to suit the driving situation, speed and condition of the road surface.
