Yamaha Motor India has announced Eishin Chihana as the company's new Chairman and replaces Motofumi Shitara as the Yamaha India boss, who held the position since 2018. Eishin Chihana has been associated with Yamaha Group since 1991. He holds expertise across several verticals including sales, marketing and business management with a major focus on motorcycle business operations in Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East and ASEAN countries. Chihana also has experience managing overseas sales for not only Yamaha's motorcycles but also ATVs, marine engines, personal watercraft and generators.

Commenting on his new role, Eishin Chihana, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group said, "I am very excited to lead Yamaha Motor in the world's largest two-wheeler market. Yamaha Motor India has been a product offensive and has been launching not only India-centric models like the FZ-X but also global offerings like the Aerox 155. The Yamaha R15 V4.0 made its global debut in India this year, which further showcased the brand's commitments towards its operations here. Yamaha operates out of two plants in India located in Surajpur, Uttar Pradesh and Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu.
