Yezdi Scrambler

The Yezdi Scrambler is a one-of-a-kind proposition, offering a great design and superlative features for buyers. Should you buy it? Does it make for a win-win proposition? Here’s finding out more on the same.

How is the design?

The Scrambler has a dirt-style front fender and a chopped rear mudguard, both of which give the bike a very attractive profile. In contrast to the Roadster, which keeps the engine cases in the Jawa style, the Scrambler receives casings with a rectangular design, which helps it to be recognized as a Yezdi. In addition, the contour of the kicked-up pillion seat does not appear to be as odd in real life as it did in the photographs that were initially released. The Scrambler has a footbrake lever that can be adjusted by one step, a USB type A and type C charging outlet, and three modes for the ABS, one of which is an off road mode that lets you deactivate the system at the rear wheel. Other features include: a USB type A and type C charging outlet; a USB type A and type C charging outlet; and a USB type A and type C charging outlet.

The Yezdi Adventure is another place where one can acquire all of this information. It is important to note that the Scrambler that you see here is outfitted with a variety of optional extras, some of which include the headlamp grille, the tiny windscreen, the handguards, the leg guards, and the rear luggage rack. The Yezdi Scrambler has an unsatisfactory degree of quality and workmanship, despite the fact that it has a decent first impression from a distance. A few of the bolts have already begun to show signs of rust, the handguards do not fit properly, there are exposed wires for the tail lamp, and the exhaust has a rough finish that can be seen.

How is the performance?

The Yezdi Scrambler is a new motorcycle that Classic Legends has made available on the Indian market. The engine of this brand-new motorbike is a 334 cc single-cylinder unit that is liquid-cooled and is attached to a six-speed transmission. It generates 28.7 horsepower at 8,000 revolutions per minute and 28.2 Newton-meters of torque at 6,750 revolutions per minute. The Yezdi Scrambler has a maximum speed of 140 kilometers per hour (kmph) (approximate).

How does the motorbike ride?

The Yezdi Roadster's foot pegs are smaller than those of the Scrambler, which results in a more uncomfortable riding position. The Scrambler, on the other hand, seats you higher up and has a wider handlebar. Because the seat height is only 800 millimetres, shorter riders won't feel uncomfortable on it, and taller riders won't be able to take advantage of its comfort.

This motorcycle was tested for the first time on several off-road courses that featured a surface that was hard-packed and scattered with loose stones. Once you get used to the sensations of the somewhat large 19-inch front tyre and the tightly adjusted suspension, the Scrambler is extremely capable, but at first it does not feel like the most user-friendly object on this type of surface. When you first get on the Scrambler, it has the impression of being a large and fairly hefty bike; however, after you get used to that plus the fact that the wide handlebar feels heavy to move from side to side, it is actually quite nice to ride off road on the Scrambler. It has a generous ground clearance of 200 millimetres, and although it has a shorter suspension travel than an adventure bike (150 millimetres at the front and 130 millimetres at the rear, respectively), it has been set up to be somewhat on the firm side, which helps it to absorb landings effectively. This bike is clearly not as nimble, absorbent, or capable as the Xpulse 200, but it is capable enough that you could set out on a trail ride with your buddies on their ADVs and still have a good amount of fun with it.

The ride quality of the Scrambler's suspension is noticeably stiff when driven on paved roads, coming dangerously close to being described as rough. You will most definitely feel the impact of larger bumps, but the bike is able to deal with rough conditions in a respectable manner. The handling is likewise satisfactory up to approximately 80 percent, but as soon as you begin to ride more aggressively at higher speeds, there is a slight weave that you can feel through the chassis, and it is very evident that the bike does not appreciate being handled in this manner. There are a few different problems that might occur with the Scrambler's engine. It has a pretty respectable middle, and there is a surge beginning at 6,000 rpm and continuing all the way up to 8,000 rpm, where it reaches its redline. Although the performance seems to be pretty adequate, the refinement is not nearly as nice. When the engine is revved up to its maximum, you will notice a significant increase in vibration, in addition to the clunks and clatters that are present at low RPM. Nevertheless, one of the best features is the 6-speed transmission. The shifting is silky smooth and pinpoint accurate, and the bike is equipped with a slip assist clutch as well.

How comfortable the motorbike is?

The Yezdi Scrambler Bike is a great way for riders to get out and explore the world around them. It's comfortable and easy to ride, making it perfect for short trips or long rides. Plus, the bike has a sturdy frame that can handle most terrain.

The Yezdi Scrambler is one of the cheapest scrambler-style bikes available in the market today. It is very fast and is a good cornerer. The front and rear mudguards are beaky, the seat is high, and the handlebars are wide. Its ride height is around 800mm.The Yezdi Scrambler looks similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan, which has carved out a niche in the entry-level ADV space. It also has a high stance and looks like a proper off-roader. The Yezdi Scrambler has an upscale, stylish look, complete with a round LED tail lamp, a front fender, and an indicator to indicate the gear position. The bike also features a fuel tank with 12.5 litres in terms of overall capacity. It also comes with dual-tone tank pads or a single tank pad. Its chrome-finished fuel tank is comfortable for the legs.Although it is not as nimble as the Yamaha Xpulse 200, the Yezdi Scrambler B bike is still an excellent choice for trail riding. Its suspension is firm and responsive but does not feel absorptive. The brakes provide confident stopping power and more bite. The Scrambler has a good bottom-end and a fun mid-range. The bike feels most alive between 6,000 and 8,000 rpm. However, if you ride it above 8,500 rpm, the bike starts to feel stressed and is less comfortable. The 6-speed gearbox is smooth-shifting. The Yezdi Scrambler's cruising ability is excellent.

How’s the tech?

The Yezdi Scrambler flaunts LED illumination on all sides and a single-pod LCD instrument console, but there are no possibilities for communication on this model. The bike does, however, come standard with a dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) that features three modes: Road, Off-road, and Rain, each of which has a different amount of involvement. The Scrambler is equipped with a double cradle frame that is suspended onto a telescopic fork that provides 150 mm of travel. The rear suspension is comprised of preload adjustable twin-shocks that provide 130 mm of travel. Both the front and back brakes are discs, with the front disc measuring 320 millimetres in diameter and the rear disc measuring 240 millimetres. The Scrambler comes standard with a wire-spoke layout of 19/17 inches and dual-purpose tires on each wheel. It has a high ground clearance of 200 millimetres, and the seat height is 800 millimetres, which is significantly more than average. Yezdi has installed a gasoline tank that is capable of holding 12.5 liters of petrol on the motorcycle.

How’s the mileage of the motorbike?

The New Yezdi Scrambler 334 has a mileage that is roughly 30-35 kmpl. In addition to that, the roadster is able to go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in about 9 seconds. This is an impressive feat. According to the speedometer, the maximum speed that the motorcycle is capable of reaching is 140 kilometers per hour (kmph).

The Yezdi Scrambler bike is a great way to get around town and experience the cityscape. It's got a comfortable seat and good brakes, so you can stop quickly if necessary. The bike also has a wide range of gearing, so you can take it up any hill or over any obstacle. Plus, the steel frame makes it durable and reliable in all kinds of weather.

Is the motorbike good value for Money?

When it comes to the features that are offered by the new Yezdi Scrambler, the motorcycle comes equipped with an LED headlamp and an LED tail lights as standard fitment. The motorcycle also includes a handlebar-mounted USB charger in addition to its completely digital LCD instrumentation that displays the gear position indicator. This is just one of the many notable features of the motorcycle. On the other hand, the manufacturer has included a number of safety features in this motorbike. For example, it includes a dual-channel ABS unit, three different riding modes (road, rain, and off-road), and a combination of the two. Therefore, it is fair to say that the manufacturer has packed this motorcycle to the brim with extras, and that it is one of the products in the company's catalogue intended for the Indian market that offers the most value for the money. Yezdi has positioned the Scrambler in its line-up in between the Roadster and the Adventure, both of which have a price tag of over 2 lakh rupees. This fully-loaded motorcycle comes at a price that is comparable to others in its class, and we believe that it is a good investment.

How is the after sales service?

Yezdi does offer good after sales service to its customers. The first service is due after 500 kilometres or a month, whichever comes earlier.

Which Motorbikes Compete in this Segment?

The Yezdi Scrambler is up against stiff competition from motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda H’Ness CB350, Honda CB350 RS, Royal Enfield Meteor 350, and many others.

Verdict (Is it Value for Money?)

The Yezdi Scrambler Bike is a new addition to the market and it's definitely one of a kind. It resembles a mountain bike but has features that make it stand out from the rest. The frame is made from high-quality aluminium and it has a comfortable seat and handlebar.

This bike is perfect for anyone who wants to explore the countryside without having to worry about getting stuck on the side of the road. It's also perfect for people who want to get some exercise without having to go outside! The Yezdi Scrambler Bike is also very durable, so you can expect it to last for years. The Yezdi Scrambler is going to be one of the more approachable scramblers that are available for purchase in the country and it promises to be a fun offering. The motorcycle has a straightforward and unadorned appearance, yet it still has the traditional round headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and chrome-finished twin exhaust. This is despite the fact that the bike has been stripped down to its most basic components.

Pros

  • Design
  • Torquey Performance
  • Easy to ride

Cons

  • Engine heat
  • Wind blast at highway speeds

Verdict

The Ducati Scrambler Icon offers one of the entry points into the Ducati brand. The Scrambler is a neo-retro model offering a comfortable riding position, torquey engine and compact size, making it an easy and entertaining package for riders upgrading from smaller machines. The only drawback is the lack of wind protection for highway rides, and the bothersome engine heat when used in the city, especially in stop-go traffic.

Buying experience was pretty neat. 2 weeks wait time but delivered early. Kept updating me throughout the process. Riding experience is phenomenal. I used to ride a duke 200 and I was worried about migrating to a heavier bike but the weight distribution is so optimum I can manoeuvre it just like a KTM. Its definitely a head turner and the exhaust note is sweet with a whooshing sound. Accessories are yet to come Im excited for the headlight grill.

Scrambler is a performance bike. Took it to my office for few weeks at 50km round trip. Mileage is 25 kmpl. But solid built, accelaration, performance, maneuverability and feel. Only downside is mileage and stiff back after long tours.
