Hero Mavrick 440

The Hero Mavrick 440 is Hero MotoCorp’s flagship motorcycle and is the second model based on the new 440 cc platform co-developed with Harley-Davidson. The first model based on that platform is the made-in-India Harley-Davidson X440. The Mavrick 440 though takes a completely different approach to design than the H-D X440. While the Mavrick 440 shares its base design with the X440, it boasts a completely fresh look. The bike features a round LED headlamp with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs), a bulbous fuel tank with stylish shrouds, a scooped-up single-piece seat, and a robust grab rail, all signalling a modern aesthetic.

The Hero Mavrick 440 is available in three variants: Base, Mid, and Top. The base model comes in Arctic White with black lettering and spoked wheels. The mid variant sports dual-tone shades - Celestial Blue and Fearless Red - along with alloy wheels. Lastly, the top variant is offered in Phantom Black and Enigma Black colours with a dual-tone seat finish, machined engine finish, and diamond-cut finish alloy wheels. Equipped with 17-inch MRF tyres, the Hero Mavrick 440 has a seat height of 803 mm, ensuring accessibility for most riders. The motorcycle weighs 187 kg (with alloys).

The Hero Mavrick 440 is powered by the same 440cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled SOHC engine found in the Harley-Davidson X440. It delivers an identical power output of 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm, with peak torque reaching 36 Nm at 4,000 rpm, which is slightly lower than the H-D X440's torque by 2 Nm. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

For suspension, the bike features telescopic forks at the front and twin shocks at the rear, providing a comfortable ride. Braking is handled by disc brakes both at the front and rear, ensuring reliable stopping power.
