The 2020 Audi A6 has finally made its way to India with prices starting at Rs. 54.20 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The eighth generation Audi A6 is a completely new model with revamped styling, improved interior with more space at the rear and a host of new tech on offer. The new A6 has been introduced only with a petrol heart in the country, as part of Volkswagen's decision to move away from diesel engines globally. That being said, a diesel engine could be introduced later based on the demand. The Audi A6 takes on a number of offerings in the mid-size luxury sedan segment including the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Volvo S90 and the Jaguar XF.

The upcoming Audi A6 sedan has been spotted in India, indicating that the car will go on sale in India soon. Bringing some panache to its luxury sedan, Audi India has launched the A6 Lifestyle Edition in the country. The Audi A6 Lifestyle Edition is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options with prices starting at Rs. 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new special edition model brings additional kit and accessories that are aimed to add more value to the car. The Lifestyle Edition adds features like a rear seat entertainment package, Espresso Mobil and entry-exit lights as part of the upgrade.
We expect the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5 Series challenger to come to India by early next year.
While Audi has not officially announced when it plans to unveil the next-generation A6, we expect it could happen as soon as next month at either the Geneva Motor Show or the New York Motor Show at the end of March.
The new generation Audi A6 sedan is expected to make is global debut sometime next year, most likely during the Geneva Motor Show 2018.
Audi had launched the A6 Matrix in India last year, but this time, the German car manufacturer has brought its famed Audi Matrix LED headlamps to the Audi A6 35 TFSI. The Audi A6 now also gets a 7-speed S-Tronic transmission and a new infotainment system along with a few other updates. It is the top-most trim of the Audi A6 in its petrol guise and is priced at Rs. 52.7 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
Audi has recently rolled out A6 and A7 models with subtle updates in the international markets.
