With rivals Audi and Mercedes-Benz gearing up to launch the Q3 facelift and the new-gen GLA in India later this year, BMW India has certainly gained a good head start. The SUV has been launched in three variants SportX, xLine and M Sport.
Visually, the 2020 BMW X1 now comes with a heavily updated face, featuring a bigger, more prominent kidney grilles with vertical slats, offering that 3D effect. The headlamps too have been updated and now come with a new cluster and new LED daytime running lamps. Also, the front bumper is new that is a bit more aggressive and come with new, large black inserts on either end, which looks a bit out of place. The SUV's profile largely remains unchanged, but we do get a new set of wheels and black underbody cladding with faux silver skid plates, while at the rear the luxury compact SUV features a set of revised taillamps. The M Sport variant, of course, comes with a different body kit with the all-black grille, sportier bumper with different air intake. The BMW M Sport also comes with body colour cladding and side skirts instead of black ones seen on other variants.
