Given the huge volumes the last Evoque generated, JLR would need this one to fire too. Especially given the company's $4.4 bn loss posted in the last quarter 2018.
Land Rover stunned and surprised the world by showing a Range Rover Evoque convertible concept, at the 2012 New York Auto Show. It made it to production only in 2016, and many baulked at the idea. But a couple of years down the line, that idea is suddenly looking like a successful masterstroke. At the time though, JLR was quite categorical saying India will not get the convertible at all. That decision has now been changed, with the Evoque convertible being ushered in as a marque-defining model.
True to its name, the Range Rover Evoque evokes a smile every time you look at it. Even before its launch in November, Jaguar Land Rover claimed that it had received 125 pre-bookings for the facelifted model. It's unique design and not-so-intimidating presence explains why this Range Rover SUV has a strong following in the Indian market.

Jaguar Land Rover has announced the commencement of deliveries for the BS6 compliant versions of the new-generation Range Rover Evoque and the new Land Rover Discovery Sport in India. Both SUVs were introduced in the country earlier this year but only with the diesel option, the petrol version now goes on sale. The Range Rover Evoque BS6 petrol is priced from Rs. 57.99 lakh, while the new Discovery Sport petrol starts from Re. 59.99 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India). The new Land Rover SUVs are available in highly feature-rich 'S' and sportier 'R-Dynamic SE' derivatives.
The new 2019 Range Rover Evoque has bagged a 5-star rating in the crash test, scoring 94 per cent for adult occupant protection and 87 per cent for child occupant protection.
Finding yet another unique way to announce its upcoming model, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), has teased the next-generation Range Rover Evoque with special life-size wire sculptures. Slated to be unveiled on November 22, the life-size wire art installations of the second-generation RR Evoque were placed across London.
