Mercedes-Benz India that launched the 2014 S-Class earlier this year in a single S 500 variant (Petrol), is now all set to launch a more affordable S 350 variant with a diesel engine of the car.
Lexus recently launched its flagship sedan in India, the LS 500h, with prices starting at Rs. 1.77 crore. We try and figure how it stacks up against a trio of German rivals, on paper at least.
Volkswagen, the German automajor, is working on the next-generation Phaeton, which according to a report will be launched in 2016 or early 2017. The report further says that the new-gen model of the luxury saloon might be more comfortable than the Mercedes S-Class.
Mercedes Benz announced that it will locally assemble its flagship model, the S-Class at its plant in Chakan, Pune. The move comes after an increased demand that Mercedes received for the top-spec S500 trim which currently has a waiting period of 3 months.
