We try and put together a puzzle. Answer a few what ifs? and try and explain how there is a boom in the market when it comes to compact SUVs. There is a future right there, waiting to be discovered, rather re-discovered!
The Renault Captur has been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs. 9.99 lakh. While it mainly rivals the likes of Hyundai Creta and Nissan Terrano, but based on the pricing it also comes in territory of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the new Hyundai Verna, Honda City and the Volkswagen Vento.
The Renault Captur, the French carmaker's flagship product in India, has been removed from the company's website. The Captur was the only Renault model that had not made the shift to the new, stringent BS6 emission regulations, and it being removed from the carmaker's website could mean that the car has either been discontinued.
Renault India has introduced the updated Captur in India with more safety features with prices starting at Rs. 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The compact SUV now meets the upcoming safety regulations, and as a result, gets a number of new active and passive tech on board as standard. In addition, the RXL and the RXT trims have been discontinued on the 2019 Renault Captur. The SUV is now offered in two variants - RXE and the range-topping Platine - available with both petrol and diesel engine options.
