About Triumph Bonneville T100

The 2021 Triumph Bonneville T100 is the entry model in the Bonneville family. The T100 gets authentic old-school design, which is the hallmark for Triumph’s modern classic range. The T100 features a high torque, 900cc twin-cylinder Bonneville engine, which receives significant updates for 2021, resulting in a lighter and more responsive powertrain. The 900 cc parallel-twin motor makes 64 bhp at 7,400 rpm and the peak torque output is rated at 80 Nm coming in at 3,750 rpm. Triumph says that 80 per cent of the torque is available from 2,000 rpm and goes up to 7,000 rpm. The new motorcycle is also BS6 compliant.

Thanks to the low inertia crank shaft, lighter balancer shafts, a thin walled clutch cover and a magnesium cam cover, the engine of the new T100 is considerably lighter than the previous version, weighing 4 kg than the previous iteration of the Bonneville T100. This weight loss, combined with the higher power, translates into better throttle response and ride. The motorcycle gets a service interval of 10,000 miles or 16,000 kilometres, which helps to keep the cost of ownership low.

The new 2021 Bonneville T100 is also equipped with a new instrument dial face, with Bonneville branding and an old-school typeface. The integrated, multi-function display is easily controlled through the handlebar mounted scroll button.

The T100 also comes with a higher specification Brembo 2-piston front brake for excellent stopping power, with more bite and better feel. The new higher specification cartridge front forks, combined with the twin rear shocks and the 32-spoke classical wheels help offer a comfortable ride. In terms of safety, the bike gets Triumph’s latest generation ABS and switchable traction control, which are sensitive and not very obtrusive in nature, resulting in a smooth riding experience. The comfort is ensured by a comfortable rider and pillion seat and a torque-assist clutch to reduce rider fatigue. The seat is released via a key for easy access to the under seat USB. The seat height is at an accessible 790 mm.
