Triumph Bonneville T120

The Triumph Bonneville T120 can be termed as the elder sibling of the Bonneville T100. The motorcycle gets significant updates in terms of engine performance and features. The 1,200 cc high-torque parallel-twin engine is now BS6 compliant and weighs less, courtesy a lighter crankshaft. The clutch and balancer shafts are new too and offer better response. The engine makes 79 bhp at 6,550 rpm while the peak torque output is rated to be 105 Nm coming in at 3,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets a service interval of 10,000 miles or 16,000 kilometres, which helps to keep the cost of ownership low.

The 2021 model weighs 7 kg lesser than the previous model, thanks to a re-worked engine and lightweight Aluminium wheel rims. This results in better handling and agility. Up front, the bike gets a Brembo front brake along with a twin-disc setup. The rear gets a single disc brake. The motorcycle also gets Triumph’s latest generation ABS and switchable traction control. The new T120 comes with cruise control now fitted as standard along with two riding modes which are rain and road. The cruise control is set via a dedicated button on the handlebar, making it extremely user friendly for the rider as well as the selection of the riding modes.

Other features include a torque-assist clutch, an engine immobiliser incorporated into the key, a handy under-seat USB charging socket and the internal wiring ready to plug in the accessory fit heated grips. 

The twin pod instrument console set-up gets a new premium 3D dial face with Bonneville branding and traditional typeface and colours.  The multi-functional digital display provides the rider with all necessary information, such as riding mode settings, cruise control status, gear position indicator and much more, and it is all controlled through the intuitive and easily accessible scroll button mounted on the handlebar. On the classic Bonneville T120, premium chrome finishes have been used throughout, maintaining the signature timeless style, including on the mirrors, mudguard stay, indicators, silencers, handlebars, headlamp bezel and filler cap. The seat is finished with contrast piping, a ribbed top and carries an embossed Triumph logo. 

Triumph also offers the Bonneville T120 Black, on which the engine, wheels, bodywork, as well as mirrors, headlight bezel and turn indicators are done in black.
