The luxury car market often dances to the tunes of German giants. However, breaking this rhythm with its own melodic and distinct note is the Volvo S90. Not just another sedan, the S90 combines Swedish aesthetics with world-class features, giving even the famed German trinity a run for their money. While its counterparts may have a significant market presence, the Volvo S90 beckons those who value individuality and subtle luxury. It’s not just a car; it’s a statement. But how does it fare when pitted against its formidable adversaries? Let’s explore.
Grace, elegance, and refinement are words that one can use to describe the Volvo S90. Unlike its counterparts, which often rely on aggressive lines and a sporty stance, the S90 chooses a path of understated elegance. The meticulously crafted exterior boasts a sleek silhouette, flowing lines, and a poised stance that subtly captures attention. The signature Volvo grille, embedded with the brand’s iconic emblem, takes center stage, seamlessly integrating with the mesmerizing “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlights. From the side, the elongated wheelbase promises space, while the subtle contours hint at its aerodynamic prowess. The rear is a design masterpiece, with the bold ‘VOLVO’ lettering, sculpted tail lamps, and dual exhaust outlets, showcasing a blend of aesthetics and performance. With a selection of colors that range from the pristine Crystal White to the mysterious Onyx Black, the S90 ensures it resonates with every individual’s style.
Pros
Cons
Underneath its sheet metal, the S90 employs Volvo's SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) platform, which made its debut with the XC90. This means a transverse front-drive layout, with unequal-length control arms in the front suspension and a multilink layout in the rear. The car just glides over everything and that's when you keep your phone down and gaze out of the window and admire the colourful sky, at the same congratulating yourself on your buying decision.
Volvo S90 is available in 4 different colors namely Crystal White, Denim Blue, Onyx Black & Platinum Grey.
