Cons
The Yamaha FZ S V 3.0 is an excellent motorcycle for commuting within the city. It is ergonomically balanced and the engine has lots of zeal. Torque offered is ample and the refinement level is commendable with a decent mileage figire. To top it off, Yamaha's reliability is an added bonus. However, it misses out on basic features available with its rivals, and also lacks character in its design. Overall built quality could've been improved.

Detailed Comparision - |
The Yamaha FZ has been around for quite more than a decade, and the current version is known as the V3.0 by Yamaha. Despite its name, this new edition is only a cosmetic upgrade. The only significant mechanical modification is the addition of a single-channel ABS, but Yamaha had little choice when April 2019 rolled around. That means, as much as we'd like to see a boost in performance, it hasn't happened.
The majority of the FZ's bodywork has been overhauled with components inspired by the larger FZ25. While it keeps its muscular, cutting shape, the massive fuel tank and shrouds that extend down towards the front of the engine give it a much larger appearance. The bike in the photos is the FZ-S, which features chrome trim around the fake air intake and vents on the front of the tank and a belly pan. Between the basic FZ and the FZ-S, these are practically the only differences, and they cost Rs 2,000 more.
