Hyundai Creta Diesel AT is powered by 1.5L 4 cylinder diesel engine that produces 114hp and 250nm of torque. It is coupled with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The engine is refined and punchy, there is good amount of pull in the mid and top end of the rev band but generates meek power in lower end, due to lack of turbocharged engine. Though it still gets the job done and more, no issues in highway and city driving. The steering is light and at the same time gives a great feel while driving at higher speeds. The car glides over bad roads as ground clearance is of no issue and the suspension is not very stiff, though it could have been softer. The Hyundai Creta has very polarizing looks, you either like it or hate it. I personally have grown to accept them. Both front and back lights get split led setup. The lights are bright and have a good throughput. It gets front sensors, body colored orvms, rear parking camera and sensors, ESC, ABS and six airbags. The window area is ample which brings in a lot of light. It gets 16 inch alloys, size of the tire being 205/65/R16. I like the alloy wheel design, they get a dual tone diamond cut finish, looks premium. The build quality is very good, material used on inside are soft touch and the doors shut with a proper thud. The cabin is silent while driving in city, though at high speeds the engine becomes quite vocal. There is plenty of tech available, digital instrument cluster, multi-functional steering wheel, 10.25 inch touchscreen with wireless android auto and apple car play, climate control, cruise control, auto hold, drive modes like eco, comfort and sport. It's quite practical at the front too, the door pockets are large enough, glove box is of decent size and gets the cooling function, there are two cupholders in the center console, an armrest which slides and opens, inside it there is decent space and charging socket for your mobile devices. The key highlight is the massive panaromic sunroof which opens wide enough and brings airy feeling to the cabin. The back are also comfortable, ample amount of legroom and headroom. Though three adults can sit but not for long journeys as the cabin is not wide enough. We get a center armrest with twin cupholders, ac vents at the bottom and a charging point. The seats at the front and back are very good, they provide good amount of support to your back and under thigh support is also decent, they are leather wrapped and are soft yet firm. Now we move on to the boot, its capacity is 430 liters which is adequate for luggage of 4 people. The rear seats fold in 60:40 split to increase the boot carrying capacity. I find Hyundai Creta to be the best in segment option if one can live with the polarizing looks. Thanks and cheers.
