After a hiatus of more than 2 and half years, the more powerful version of one of India’s most popular cars, Alto is back in the market. We drive the new Alto K10 in both its manual and Auto versions.
The reason to bring this piece to you is - you guessed it - Alto. Maruti has introduced its automated-manual transmission - better known as AMT - in the K10 model of the Alto. The Celerio was the first to flaunt the AMT gearbox across Maruti's portfolio.

One of the best car in this 998 cc segment.
I love driving AMT version though not much leg space for rear seat and for tall person entry and exit is not at all comfortable.Good mileage Ave speed 60 to 70 is good.

VXI AGS (O) [2016-2019](Petrol)
With facelift of Alto 800 and keeping AltoK10 with no facelift, it seems clear that soon it should be a Redundant Variant of Alto... specially as I heard AGS overheats and gears stop shifting and you get a halt right in the middle of road.
I was looking forward to buy K10 vxi AGS but was shocked to see it has less features than the ones available in Non AGS. Very bad strategy from Maruti Suziki. Like me many more are holding back to buy K10.and Maruti has to explain
1. why the facelift of K10 is kept aside.
2. What improvements they have done wet AGS stalling.
When it was launched in 2000, the Alto was seen as a premium offering, as in many ways it was a replacement for the very popular Zen. True to Maruti Suzukis India strategy though, the Zen wasnt phased out but the Alto drove in alongside it.
The recently updated 2019 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has started arriving at dealerships. The new 2019 Alto K10, along with the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 facelift, now comes with a host of new and updated safety features to meet the upcoming safety norms, ahead of the October deadline.
