The organiser of the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) have announced that the 2022 edition of the show will be cancelled, due to issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. The motor show has been cancelled for the third time.
The organisers have also decided that the International Motor show will be sold to a new promoter and loan from the state of Geneva will not be accepted.

The new concept is heavily inspired by 60s-era Beetle-based dune buggies and is more of a design study than a preview to a production model. The Volkswagen I.D. Buggy Concept is based on the automaker's new Modular Electric Drive (MEB) platform that will underpin a host of new electric models from the automaker.
