The Renault Captur has been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs. 9.99 lakh. While it mainly rivals the likes of Hyundai Creta and Nissan Terrano, but based on the pricing it also comes in territory of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the new Hyundai Verna, Honda City and the Volkswagen Vento.
The Renault Captur, the French carmaker's flagship product in India, has been removed from the company's website. The Captur was the only Renault model that had not made the shift to the new, stringent BS6 emission regulations, and it being removed from the carmaker's website could mean that the car has either been discontinued.
Renault India has introduced the updated Captur in India with more safety features with prices starting at Rs. 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The compact SUV now meets the upcoming safety regulations, and as a result, gets a number of new active and passive tech on board as standard. In addition, the RXL and the RXT trims have been discontinued on the 2019 Renault Captur. The SUV is now offered in two variants - RXE and the range-topping Platine - available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

The Renault Captur is the latest car in the Compact SUV segment in India. It is available in 1.5 litre diesel and petrol. The oil burner is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox while the petrol comes with a 5-speed.
Renault Captur ex-showroom price in New Delhi starts at Rs. 9.5 Lakh and goes upto Rs. 13 Lakh. The Renault Captur on road price in New Delhi is Rs. 18.15 Lakh.
As for the claimed fuel efficiency, the Renault Captur base Diesel returns 20.40 Kmpl, whereas its base Petrol counterpart gives 13.90 Kmpl.
